Tips: Variable frequency drive fault dynamic test method
The dynamic test can only be proceeding after the static test result is normal. Dynamic testing must note the following issues:
- Before powering, the input voltage must be confirmed. If connect 380V power supply into 220V VFD, the VFD will be burned.
- Check all the connections of the VFD to be correct connected and fastened. Improper connection may lead to failure, or seriously, to be burned.
- After power on, check the failure display content, and initially determine the reasons.
- If the fault is not displayed, first check whether the parameters are abnormal, and then reset the parameters, and start VFD to test U/V/W three-phase output voltage under no-load situation.
- When the output voltage is normal and three-phase equilibrium, start load test. And it’s best to start full load test.
