Description

M12 thread hall magnetic proximity switch is divided into normally open and normally closed, and the output signals are NPN and PNP. It is small size and corrosion resistance at low price, which can be used in poor work environment.

Features

  • The detection distance of the Hall magnetic proximity sensor is determined by the target magnetic field strength.
  • It has a long service life and high reliability.
  • Its yellow LED indicator allows users to easily check the working status of the sensor.
  • The sensor is economical and easy to operate.
  • Its protection level reaches IP67 (IEC standard), which is dustproof and waterproof.

Tips: Structure of magnetic proximity switch

Magnetic proximity switch is a contact sensor. It consists of two alloy reeds with high magnetic conductivity and low coercivity and is sealed in a glass tube filled with inert gas. A certain amount of overlap and proper clearance are maintained between the two reeds. The ends are gold-plated as contacts and the leads are welded outside the tube. When the magnetic induction intensity of the sensor position is large enough, the two reeds attract each other to make the contact conduction. When the magnetic field weakens to a certain extent, it is released under the action of the spring itself.

Magnetic proximity switch is mainly used for detection when it is driven by a permanent magnet. If used as a limit switch, replacing the travel switch by collision contact, can improve the reliability and service life of the system. In PLC controller, it is often used as a position control signal.
