Description
Magnetostrictive linear displacement sensor with measuring range 100mm is used for liquid level preset and feedback, such as the liquid level of injection machine hydro-cylinder. Magnetostrictive sensors also can be used in most industrial automation systems.

Tips: Magnetostrictive sensor vs Potentiometer
In the earlier stage, potentiometer is widely applied into injection molding machine. However, no matter its accuracy, reliability, stroke and service life is not better than that of magnetostrictive displacement sensor. Because the potentiometer is contact-type, carbon brush will be inevitably worn after repeatedly used for a long time and ultimately invalid. However, magnetostrictive displacement sensor features non-contact, no wear, durability, simple installation and compact appearance. So it possesses more incomparable technical advantages than potentiometer.
