Crossover Interference

The chlorine dioxide (ClO2) gas sensor also responds to gases other than the target gas. For reference, the response characteristics of the sensor to several common interfering gases are listed in the table below. The data in the table are typical responses of interfering gases at a given concentration.

Interfering Gas Gas Concentration Used (ppm) Displayed Value (ppm/ClO₂)
CO 100 0
NO₂ 10 14
H₂S 20 -5
H₂ 3000 0
Cl₂ 10 15
CO₂ 5000 0

Basic Test Circuit

Application

Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) gas sensor can be used in industrial plant, medical field, catering industry, petroleum and petrochemical, coal mine tunnel, instrumentation, fruit tree garden, farm and ranch, agricultural greenhouse, floriculture, laboratory and so on.

Tips: What is chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), and why is it important to detect?

Chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) is a yellow-green gas commonly used in water treatment, disinfection, and bleaching processes. While effective for sterilization, ClO₂ is toxic at high concentrations, posing respiratory and eye hazards. Real-time monitoring helps ensure safety in industrial, medical, and environmental applications by preventing overexposure.
